PTI, LLC (“PTI”) was originally founded in 1983 as Plastic Technology, Inc.,  and began by extruding low-density PE profiles for the furniture industry and filler rods for the fiber optic cable industry. Over the years, PTI’s product offerings expanded to include foam pipe insulation, pool noodles, foam packaging profiles, and custom-designed profiles in various sectors. With a focus on innovation, PTI is an industry leader in new product development and product improvement.  Our policy at PTI is to meet all of our customer's requirements and exceed their expectations.

As a subsidiary of HSM, PTI invests each year to improve its processes and equipment and today operates one of the most advanced facilities in the industry. In the fall of 2019, PTI expanded operations and moved into a new 268,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Hickory, N.C. to more efficiently and effectively meet the needs of its customers.
