Slit-To-Size™ Adjustable Pipe Insulation
When it comes to insulating household plumbing, finding the right size insulation can sometimes be a challenge. Slit-To-Size™ Adjustable Pipe Insulation makes installation easier by allowing one insulation product to fit multiple common pipe sizes.
Designed to adjust to fit household pipes from well to spigot, Slit-To-Size™ insulation works with a variety of piping materials, including CPVC, PVC, copper, and PEX. The easy tear-away adjustment strips allow installers to quickly customize the insulation for different pipe diameters.
Slit-To-Size™ Pipe Insulation Installation Instructions
Before installing, identify the pipe size and pipe type and follow the recommended adjustment below.
1" PVC Pipe
For 1" PVC pipe, use the insulation as supplied.
Adjustment:
Use the insulation whole
1" CPVC, PEX, Copper, and ¾" PVC Pipe
For these applications, remove the first adjustment strip to reduce the insulation size and create the proper fit.
Adjustment:
Tear away the first strip
¾" CPVC, PEX, Copper, and ½" PVC Pipe
For smaller pipe applications, remove both adjustment strips to reduce the insulation diameter.
Adjustment:
Tear away both strips
½" CPVC, PEX, and Copper Pipe
For the smallest applications, remove the first strip and use the remaining strip as a filler to provide a snug fit around the pipe.
Adjustment:
Tear away the first strip
Tuck the second strip inside the insulation without tearing it away
